I’ve been waiting a while to post this wedding, and now that it’s gray and gloomy out I think the timing is perfect. Remember Lisa and James? They, of the tiny dog and the canoe paddles. These avid campers got married in Algonquin Park, on a beautiful lake, with an intimate group of loved ones. All of their friends stayed in an enormous log cabin on one side of the lake, and I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with Lisa and James’ family on the other side. The lovebirds had a cottage on a little private island in the middle. The whole weekend was a ton of fun, with a luau rehearsal dinner on the Friday, wedding on Saturday, and a group canoe trip on Sunday. Lisa and James, you throw an awesome wedding. Thanks for letting me be a part of your day.
Lisa’s maternal grandmother passed away a few weeks before the wedding, so her mom made sure she was there in spirit.
(You may recognize the maid of honour, Kathryn, from Heather and James’ wedding last year. She’s the best!)
These are Lisa’s grandparents, Lucy and Felix. They entertained everyone all weekend.
To get the bride and groom to kiss, you had to either answer a trivia question about the couple, or do a dare. The first dare pulled out of the box was “kiss a bald man’s head.” Lisa’s dad was happy to oblige.
Centerpiece winner were determined by dance-off. (Yep, that’s Lucy representing the head table).
Do you know all the words to ‘Rapper’s Paradise?’ Because this guy does.
A perfect end to the night.
